Australian Association for Infant Mental Health Our Infants – Infant Mental Health is a Public Matter
4-7 September
Twenty-Six Mothers originally developed in 2011 for the (AEAF), Australian Experimental Art Foundation extended a single image of mother and daughter repeated 26 times. The repetition focused on true and felt effects of an inter-subjective lived experience between mother and daughter, incorporating symbolic forms that reflected a continual building and conditioning of a re-imagined state of being. For this exhibition, 6 images from the original series offered the viewer the opportunity to respond in writing thoughts and reflections (on separate cards provided) a personal or professional response to the theme of Twenty-Six Mothers, specifically image #6.
